...is a poem by Zofia E. D. Phanbuh, a 19-year-old currently residing in Shillong. She is a NEET aspirant, future doctor, and writer. She aspires to be Jesus’ instrument, directing all her delights to Him. Furthermore, she enjoys writing, reading, and listening to music!
I adore books because you can feel whatever, however you can view any perspective; you get to live as many lives as you want. In calm, you may seek the despair of atrocities; in turmoil, you may taste tranquility to escape. You see the world, even when you're cozied up near the fireplace, with your usual delectable mug of coffee, in the very comfort of your home.
I adore books because they tell tales of old, they entertain possibilities of the future. their pages- the very scent and amber resurrects their dead origins, the trees: with glee and utter bliss must they light knowing that their sacrifice hath not gone to waste.
I adore books because they inspire; they ignite the youth and their frail minds, fervently moulding them to finer gold. They quench the soul of the grey-haired, they shepherd nostalgia, and they cause that old, weary heart to reminisce, to live; the pseudo impetus of their prime in debilitated bones, a memory, an unfulfilled desire? nay, but free; free to dream.
I adore books because they eradicate and slander taboos; the forbidden they make common, and the common they make us ponder. Where mankind touches the very thoughts of God, where repentance, sobriety, and delight passionately kiss: here, here I would fancy to offer my time; here I would give my thoughts; here I would receive insight; here I would be the lover and the muse. Whence all lead to 'thou canst,' since 'cannot' hath no strength in thine proximity, thou Echo of Nature.
Here wisdom is sold for the price of thee, O mortal; satisfy your zealous yearning.

Weights of Knowledge
...is a poem by Orpah Niki Hynniewta, a 15-year-old with a deep love for literature and a growing passion for writing. Inspired by many writers, she enjoys creating pieces that uplift and inspire. With a talent she believes is a gift from God and the support of her parents, she looks forward to achieving even more in the future.
The weight of knowledge is one of the most valuable things a student can carry in life. Carrying this weight is not an easy task, but it is truly worthwhile. This "weight" refers to the books we read and learn from. Knowledge can be gained at any age; it does not matter how old or young we are. Once we develop an interest in something, we should aim to learn about it as best as we can.
In the daily life of a student, we carry heavy school bags filled with books. Although these bags can be tiring to carry, the books inside hold immense value. We may often feel exhausted from carrying them every day, but we must remember that these very books will carry us toward success one day. That is why we say, "Knowledge is the key to victory."
